A CHAMPIONSHIP SIAMESE AND MOGGIE CAT SHOW: I am a committee member and also welfare officer for the Blue-Pointed Siamese Cat Club (BPSCC] and we hold a championship show every August. Now the show is local at Wendover Memorial Hall in Bucks I am hoping I can encourage people to visit our show or perhaps show their cat.
If people want to know about showing and what it involves they can contact me and I can advise (details below).
It is basically a Siamese cat show, all colours but we accept moggies on the show bench as well.
It can be a lovely day out and your cat may win.
This event is being held on Saturday, August 1, open to the public from 12.30pm, but if you are showing, vetting in will be from 8am.
There are also stalls within the hall and anyone interested in having a stall at the show can contact me, Patricia Rudkin on 01296 712930 or email patkin@greathorwoodbucks.co.uk.

The position is for term times only, with a start date of September 2009.

GREAT HORWOOD SCOUTS: Some 15 cub scouts from Great Horwood Scout Group joined cubs from Winslow, Maids Moreton and Steeple Claydon and other cub scouts from across Buckinghamshire, for an activity packed May Day bank holiday weekend at Phasels Wood Scout campsite in Hertfordshire.
It was a 'doing things' weekend with a chance to experience a wall climb and abseil: to be coached and guided in the skills of archery and air rifle shooting: to experience the underground crawl of potholing and to try and not get lost on an orienteering course around the campsite: not to mention the many craft creating challenges available.
Suffice to say on Sunday morning the alarm call was from the leaders to the cubs, who, after an action-packed Saturday, slept well, but still had the energy to continue around all the activity bases on Sunday.
Supported by our leaders and parent helpers, Great Horwood cubs had a wonderful and enjoyable weekend.
Great Horwood cubs has room for new members, so if you are between eight years and 10 years and would like to join us, do come along to the Scout HQ on a Tuesday evening at 6.45pm or contact the cub scout leader, Justin Daley on 01296 710916.
