Activities for all the family can be found today (Monday) at the Winslow Show.

The show which runs from 9am until 5pm at Sheep Street features equestrian competitions, live music from a brass band, livestock displays and a dog show.

There is also plenty of fun for children with traditional fair ground rides, Punch & Judy shows, children’s fancy dress, games and face painting.

There is something for all shopping tastes with more than 80 individual craft, charity and commercial stalls plus refreshments including a beer tent, hog roast, BBQ or homemade cakes at the tea tent.

Other highlights this year include a horse show and gymkhana, craft marquee, vintage and classic vehicle display, tug-of-war challenge, bugs and mini-beast children’s fancy dress parade, livestock displays and hay and grain classes.

Admission is £3 for adults, £2 for concessions or £1 for children with parking free.

All funds raised at the show are distributed to local charities and the show is organised by volunteers from Winslow Show Association with valuable support from Winslow Lions Club, Winslow Rotary Club, Buckingham and Winslow District Scouts and the Edgcott & Winslow Young Farmers.

Anyone wishing to enter any of the competitions or requiring further information should visit the website at www.winslowshow.org.uk or contact the secretary Sue Keane on 01296 713106.
