RESIDENTS are being asked their views about a plan to extend the protection for the most cherished parts of south Northants.
This week South Northants Council announced a review of the district’s conservation areas, including a section of Victorian development in Towcester and the street frontage at the heart of Brackley’s Old Town.
Designed to protect and enhance the character of the area they cover, conservation areas provide stricter guidelines for planning permissions and may also prevent the demolition of buildings which contribute to the area’s character.
Plans can be viewed at the SNC offices in Towcester and both town halls, online at www.southnorthants.gov.uk/688.htm or by calling 01327 322249 or322262.
Comments on the proposals must be received by Monday, December 5.
