PHOTOGRAPHS taken by children in Towcester will be displayed during the St Lawrence Church Flower Festival this weekend.

On Wednesday budding photographers took part in Creative Photography sessions run by Jane Roberts of Seahouses Arts. Members of the Towcester Wildlife Trust Nick Holder and David Reed were also on hand to guide children around Bury Mount and the Watermeadows which was used as inspiration for their pictures.

Mrs Roberts said: “They were all so enthusiastic, some had taken photographs before, others weren’t so confident, but they all produced some very interesting photographs.”

Seahouses Arts is a not for profit community of artists who run visual arts workshops across Northants. The session was part of the SPLAT programme of summer activities for children. Visit www.southnorthants.gov.uk/SPLAT for more details.
