A CHARITY shop in Brackley has been given a new lease of life thanks to the Indian restaurant next door.

When Chilli and Pepper in Banbury Road was refurbished Nikki Lloyd, manager of the neighbouring Katharine House Hospice shop popped around to say hello and welcome them to the town.

When she saw them relaying the floor asked if they could donate any left overs. Later Chilli Pepper offered to pay for and fit a completely new floor.

Ms Lloyd said: “The old flooring had been walked on for 10 years, five days a week. It was in a poor state, it was dirty, smelly and stained.

“The new floor has made a vast difference to us and people are saying how much brighter, spacious and airy it feels. We owe everyone at Chilli and Pepper a huge thank you.”
