LOCAL gin connoisseurs have long known that the area’s speciality gins from Foxdenton Estate are a cut above the rest.

Sold in the best places, including Winslow Farmers’ Market, Foxdenton gins are now stocked in Harrods.

And this week the company won a silver medal and Best In Class award in the International Wine And Spirits Competition.

Now, with the plum harvest approaching, Foxdenton has put out an appeal for local plums to make its Winslow Plum Gin.

Director Nick Radclyffe said he is particularly looking for the dark red plums, which give the gin its distinctive ruby colour. He is also very keen to buy damsons, to make Damson Gin.

The company will pay £1 per kilo for picked plums of the right kind. For more information, call 01280 824855.
