A series of events at Stowe will help visitors learn about the landscape gardens’ Sleeping Wood, inspired by Charles Perrault’s fairytale of Sleeping Beauty In The Wood.

In the middle of a clearing in the wood, stood the Sleeping Parlour, now long disappeared, with secret paths winding through the shrubberies, all leading to the parlour.

Special events include a Gardeners’ Symposium on the restoration of the Sleeping Wood and a Sleeping Beauty Supper.

Visitors can pick up a Sleeping Beauty parcel at reception with a map and information to guide you to the wood.
