Choir gives an Easter themed performance

THE Brackley Jubilee Choir’s Spring concert is set to be a seasonal treat for music fans this month

The concert will feature two works which reflect the proximity of Easter by two of the most popular of modern composers. The first is Requiem by John Rutter and he second is Stabat Mater by Carl Jenkins, who composed The Armed Man which was a triumph for the choir when it was performed in 2008. The choir will be conducted by its musical director Stuart Hubble accompanied by the Cherwell Orchestra. The concert at St Peter’s Church on Saturday, April 9 starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and are available in advance from choir members or on the door.
