BRACKLEY residents got their groove on last weekend to raise hundreds of pounds for the towns first outdoor music festival.
On Saturday, June 25 the recreation ground in High Street will play host to a wealth of local musical and professional talent.
Last Saturday festival organisers held a fund raising 70s disco at Brackley Rugby Club.
Organiser Fenella Atkinson said: “It was great. It’s a little out of town, and the weather was great, but people managed to tear themselves away from their gardens and we managed to fill the room.
“We made some profit and everyone who came made a real effort to dress up with a lot afro wigs and platforms.”
Wendy Chaplin said: “It went really well. We were really pleased everyone enjoyed it. The dance floor was full for the whole night.
“Quite a few people dressed up, and I have the blisters to prove it!”
