The line-up for this year’s Milton Keynes Masked Ball has been announced, and it’s set to be a grand affair.
The event – being hosted at the Jurys Inn on Saturday, August 10 in support of Emily’s Star – will be compered by burlesque beauty Miss Polly Rae.
She has worked for bands including Kasabian and Westlife and describes herself as a ‘cross between Jessica Rabbit and Gypsy Rose Lee’. We’ll leave you to ponder more about that!
The amps will crank up for Mad Mods & Englishmen, who know how to wow a crowd - Coldplay and The Kings of Leon have both employed the rousing band to do just that, at their after-show parties.
Soul funk providers The Groovestars will do the business, covering artists including Stevie Wonder and Chic, and there is still more music to be had, from event DJ Jobi Wan, and former English National Opera singer Michelle Nova.
Michelle has swapped opera for jazz and rock n roll, and will appear with esteemed musicians including Trevor Jeavons and Patrick Milne.
The annual event is well known for being an impressive night out, and patrons get the real red carpet walk, can try their luck at a fun casino and splash the cash at the charity auction held on the evening.
