Empty Room Promotions kicks off its autumn season with two gigs at Buckingham’s Radcliffe Centre next weekend.
On Friday, September 9, Texas singer-songwriter Sam Baker shares the billing with newcomer Betty Soo. “Baker’s songs are pictures sketched in short, spare lines and lay bare the honest truths and simple details of life,” say the promoters.
And on Saturday, September 10, Canadian roots music band Po’Girl bring their “fluid and joyous musicality” to the venue, showcasing a wide variety of instruments from gutbucket bass to glockenspiel and banjo.
They are supported by Ange Boxall and her all-girl band.
Doors 7pm, tickets from The Duke’s Music, on Market Hill, Buckingham, or from www.empty-rooms.com
