STUDENTS at the newly-opened Fritwell-based school of rock, The Musical Box, were given the chance to play live for family, friends and guests at the school’s first open day on Saturday.

More than 100 saw the first live ‘gig’ with 21 student performances and live performances from The Claydons, Chloe Got Punched and Suburban Anarchy.

James Dodd, who set up The Musical Box said: “I’m immensely proud of all the students for not only practising so hard over the past few weeks and working together so well, but for simply getting up on stage and performing with confidence. I’ve had some great messages from parents and adult students saying how much they enjoyed the experience and that really makes all the hard work this year worthwhile.”
