STUDENTS at Kingsbrook School in Deanshanger joined the T-birds and the Pink Ladies as they performed one of nations favourite musicals last month.

More than 100 students auditioned for 60 parts for their production of Grease on Thursday, March 17 and Friday 18.

The original high school musical was made popular in the late 70s by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

It included songs such as Summer Nights and You’re the one that I want.

Director John Johnson said the cast performed with professionalism and enthusiasm.

He added: “I was delighted with the effort and drive shown by the students.

“I am particularly proud of the fact that we had students from all year groups involved, as well as ex-students, teaching staff, and support staff.

“This was a real team effort.”

In 2003 Grease was voted the nations favourite musical.
