A RAFFLE prize donated by a famous actor Patrick Stewart will be among the prizes on offer at Chris Birch’s charity one-man show this weekend.

Mr Birch’s solo performance of Dickins’ A Christmas Carol, in aid of Parkinson’s UK, takes place at Buckingham Community Centre at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday.

Mr Birch was given permission to use the one-man version of the show which was adapted for stage by its adapter, the former Royal Shakespeare Company actor and star of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Patrick Stewart.

And this week Mr Birch told the Advertiser: “Patrick Stewart’s agent in Los Angeles telephoned me on Friday on Patrick’s behalf to wish me luck and also to let me know that Patrick has put a raffle prize in the post for me, but I do not know what it is yet.”

Other raffle prizes include vouchers from Weal’s Motoring And Leisure, Padbury Meats, The Woolpack, Buckingham Zumba, Waddesdon Manor and Woburn Safari Park.

Tickets for the show are available from www.oxboffice.com or The Duke’s Music.
