ALLOTMENT awards were presented in a recent ceremony in Winslow.
Judges said they had a hard time deciding winners as standards keep getting higher each year.

The land is managed by Winslow Charities. Senior trustee Stan Marriott presented the awards at the allotments in Buckingham Road on July 26.
Doug Holmes won Best Kept Allotment, while Adrian Wood and Graham Bowe shared the prize for Best Produce. Abbey Turner won the Most Improved Allotment section.

Terry Foley, honorary secretary and trustee of Winslow Charities, said more Winslow residents than ever before were discovering the joys of growing their own fruit and vegetables.

He said: "There is an increasing interest in growing vegetables, and as a consequence we now have a waiting list for allotments and are preparing four new plots for ploughing."
