FARMERS and growers celebrated the centenary of the Bucks, Berks and Oxon NFU in Winslow last Friday (27/06).
More than 150 members and guests, including NFU president Peter Kendall and Brigadier Ian Inshaw, High Sheriff of Oxon, gathered at Tuckey Farm, home of regional NFU chairman Richard Haynes, to enjoy a lamb and hog roast.

Mr Haynes said: "The NFU represents seven-tenths of full-time farmers and growers in the three counties who collectively produce a diverse range of quality food and drink in our stunning countryside.

"Momentous changes have taken place in agriculture during the past century and the NFU looks forward to the challenges of the next 100 years."

Former chairmen from past decades were present, and guests were able to sample the NFU centenary ale Farmers Harvest.
