BUCKS and Milton Keynes Fire Authority will be asked to consider a 2.5 per cent rise in its share of the council tax.
The fire authority will consider the proposal at its meeting on February 12.

The rise, if it goes ahead, would put the annual band D charge up by £1.44 for the year, from £57.69 in 2009 and 2010 to £59.13 in 2010 and 2011.

The authority's executive committee agreed to make the proposal at its meeting on Friday morning (29/1).

Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire Authority receives about 4p in every pound of the total council tax bill. The rest pays for council and police services.
