Buckingham's mayor praises GP practice over vaccine rollout
The Swan Practice has now invited all patients aged 50 and above to get their vaccine.
Mayor of Buckingham Geraldine Collins, has been giving hands-on help with the vaccine rollout in Buckingham.
Geraldine, who is a trained nurse, joined the team from the town's Swan Practice to help vaccinate residents at the vaccination hub at Buckingham Community Centre.
She said: "The Swan Practice have been excellent in setting this up and have had praise from the public for an efficient, well-organised centre.
"I personally have joined the team to vaccinate and will say they are a great team to work with and cannot praise or thank them enough for the great job they are doing."
The Swan Practice has now sent vaccine invitations to all patients aged 50 and over.
Anyone in that age group who has not been contacted should contact reception at The Swan Practice to arrange an appointment.
Patients who have already booked via the National Booking System or wish to decline the invitation are asked to follow the link in the text message to make the GP practice aware of this.
The Swan Practice plans to start administering second doses of the vaccine after Easter, and will contact patients in the same way either by text or a phone call.
