There have been another two deaths in Aylesbury Vale linked to Covid-19 latest Government figures reveal.

Aylesbury Vale has also seen a slight rise in cases - although figures remain relatively low - with 21 positive coronavirus tests - up by 12 from yesterday.

The total number of recorded positive tests in Aylesbury Vale since the start of the pandemic now stands at 11,410.

In Buckinghamshire there were 53 cases, bring the overall total to 30,581, with the deaths in Aylesbury the only two registered in the whole county over the last 24 hours.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 6,609 and now stands at 4,248,286. The number of deaths has risen by 175 to 125,343.

The estimated R number is 0.6 to 0.8 with a daily infection growth rate range of -7% to -4% as of March 12.

As of March 11, in the UK, 23,314,525 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 1,445,078 had received their second dose.
