Buckingham's rapid coronavirus testing site has moved from the Swan Pool & Leisure Centre to Buckingham Library, as of Monday, March 29 .

The purpose of a Lateral Flow Test (LFT), or rapid test, is to identify people who have Covid-19 but do not have any symptoms, in order to help break the chain of transmission. Alongside the vaccine, this plays an important part in ending lockdown and allowing everyone to return to a more normal way of life.

Twice-weekly rapid testing is now available for those who have to leave home to work or volunteer; early years education staff and their households; parents/guardians with nursery, primary, secondary and college-age children and young people and their households, childcare and support bubbles; and the wider school community (eg bus drivers and after-school club leaders).

Anyone testing positive for Covid-19 must stay at home and self-isolate immediately, even if they do not have symptoms, and so must their other household members.
