WHEN Andy Burman of Steeple Claydon started tidying up his vegetable patch at his Victory Road home, he couldn’t believe the peculiar vegetable he found.
Mr Burman, aged 52, is pictured, above, with a carrot that appears to have grown through a signet ring.
“There were actually two carrots,” he said. “One broke away when I pulled it up.”
“To be honest, people I showed couldn’t believe it.”
Lorry driver Mr Burman has no idea who may have lost the ring in the garden, or when. He said when he moved into his house nine years ago the plot was all grass, and he only started clearing it for a vegetable plot three or four years ago.
