WINSLOW’S Buzz Club received a cheque for £990 this week towards training and equipment hire for its school holiday playschemes.

Buzz Club leader Ruth Slater was handed the cheque at its premises near Winslow Combined School, on Wednesday by Bev Trevitt of Bucks Community Foundation.

Ruth told the Advertiser the money would enable the club to better meet the needs of children with additional needs during its holiday playscheme.

The Buzz Club is running its holiday playscheme from 8am to 6pm every weekday until Friday, August 26.

And on Wednesday, August 3, the club is offering free play sessions for children from the local community aged three to 11, thanks to funding from Winslow Town Council. Sessions are from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm.
