Academy children get inspiration from Paralympic visitor

Bourton Meadow Academy children celebrated the start of the Winter Paralympics with a visit from powerlifting Paralympian, Chris Rattenbury.

The visit was organised through Driving Inspiration, a charity run by Buckingham woman Vicky Hope-Walker. Over six years, Driving Inspiration has worked with thousands of young people and raised £500,000 to enable the work to be free for schools.

Children learned about the Parlympic valued of determination, inspiration, courage and equality, and created firebirds with the help of artist Pippa North.
