MP for Buckingham John Bercow unveiled a specially commissioned watercolour at Padbury Pre-school on Tuesday.

The painting, by local artist Lisa Wright, the former owner of Polkadot in Winslow, is entitled The Ark, the name given to the pre-school’s new purpose-built building by competition winner Dr Nina Bursell in April.

The staff and children are delighted with the picture, which will hang on the classroom wall.

It was Mr Bercow’s first visit to the pre-school in its new building in the grounds of Padbury CE School.

The pre-school, which is open from Monday to Friday with various sessions between 8.45am and 3pm, currently has vacancies for children aged two and over.
