Everyone is invited to become an artist for the day and take part in The Big Draw at the Canal Museum at Stoke Bruerne on Wednesday, October 28.
Local artists and designers will be on hand to help you at the free event, which is taking place between 11am and 4pm.
All materials are provided – just bring your imagination. There’s plenty to inspire every budding artist, young and older, along the canal at Stoke Bruerne, with its historic buildings, bridges, locks and boats.
The activity day, with the theme Every Drawing Tells A Story, is planned as part of the world’s biggest drawing festival, a month-long creative project that gets people drawing in public places, with galleries and museums across the globe taking part.
The Big Draw forms part of a two year interpretation project for the Stoke Bruerne Canal Partnership, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
It includes new visitor information boards, oral history recording equipment, family tracker packs and recruiting and training volunteers who will give guided tours and capture interesting stories of the waterways.
