A volunteer-run autism family support group is celebrating welcoming its 300th member just three years since it started.

GRASPS Bucks was founded by mums Clare Samways and Shoshana Willetts to support families facing autism spectrum condition.

The group already holds monthly Tuesday coffee mornings at the St Mary’s Church café in Aylesbury and Monday evening meetings at the Broad Leys Pub/Restaurant in Aylesbury.

It also runs support events for parents, dads’ curry nights and ladies’ nights.

This year it is extending its reach into the north of the county, working closely with the Charity FACT (Families and Carers Together) Bucks to set up a North Bucks Forum, which will meet from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on March 2 at the Bourton Centre, Burleigh Piece, Buckingham.
