About 200 people dropped in to an open day at Buckingham Library last Saturday to celebrate its official reopening after a £120,000 refurbishment. Cutting the ribbon were cabinet member Martin Phillips and county councillor Warren Whyte.

As well as children’s crafts and theatre, awards were presented to the two winners of of a children’s art competition, judged by county councillor Robin Stuchbury.

The under-11s category was won by George Mallam, aged eight, while Quinn Tebboth, aged 11, won the 11 to 16 category.
