Four people have been bailed following a blaze at the former home of Buckingham Town Football club.

Three teenagers and an adult from Buckingham and Stowe will now wait to hear if they are to be charged over last week’s arson attack.

A pavillion at the Ford Meadow ground, which has not been used by the club for around three years, was completely destroyed in the blaze last Wednesday night.

Residents of the homes surrounding the land, which is now owned by the University of Buckingham, were told to keep their doors and
windows shut, and one person was treated for smoke inhalation.

Thames Valley Police and the fire service is still investigating the incident, and anyone with information can get in contact by calling the non-emergency number 101.

Buckingham Town has long been associated with Ford Meadow, playing there since 1883. But after the site was sold to a private developer and the contract was not renewed, the club moved to Winslow and then to its current home in Bletchley.
