Bellringers from the Towcester area have rung up some success in a competition.
The team took second place in the contest for members of the Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers.
The eight bells at St Kyneburgha’s Church at Castor, near Peterborough, were kep busy one Saturday afternoon, as after ringing for a wedding, guild members took hold of the ropes. Judges from Cambridge and Brighton listened to a five-minute piece and judged Daventry branch as the winner. Certificates were awarded to all teams taking part, and the Towcester team are pictured.
