This year’s Winslow in Bloom was the best event in the nine years it has been running, according to the organisers.
Despite last Saturday’s heavy rain, the sun reappeared on Sunday and 12 gardens opened as planned.
Gardens ranged from small to large, modern to classic, as well as one modelled on a Chelsea Flower show exhibit, and one very small garden landscaped only the week before.
Lunches and teas proved popular, and good weather added to the success.
A raffle with prizes donated by local people and businesses raised £250, and a total of £1,420 has been raised for Home-Start Aylesbury, Brain Tumour Research and Florries Childrens Team.
