REFUSE collectors are working hard to catch up as Aylesbury Vale District Council apologises for the disruption to collections.
Crews were working as normal on Christmas Eve but a spokesman for AVDC said with falling temperatures and icy roads some collections were likely to be missed.
Weather permitting, those collections missed on Thursday, December 23 are due to be collected Thursday, December 30.
AVDC deputy chief executive Jon McGinty said: “Our crews worked hard to collect as much refuse and recycling as they could all week and will continue to do so.
“Conditions have not been easy in some areas and we apologise to those who have missed a collection.”
He added: “Please take your bins back in if they are not collected by 4pm.”
Household refuse can also be disposed off at the recycling centre in Yonder Slade, Buckingham between 8am and 5pm, everyday except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
AVDC refuse updates can be received via SMS text message by texting: avdc sub, with your normal collection day, eg avdc sub friday to 60060. Alternatively visit www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk.
