Brackley news: Find of the century found at antiquities surgery?

COINS and other items of archaeological interest made their way to a ‘finds surgery’ in Towcester last week.

Members of the public were invited to South Northants Council’s Springfields office in Towcester to have their finds identified and recorded.

Julie Cassidy, finds liaison officer from the Portable Antiquities Scheme, came along to see anyone who wanted to discuss what they had found either while digging in the garden, using a metal detector or even noticed whilst on a walk.
