Buckingham drug dealer jailed after ‘zero tolerance’ police operation

A drug dealer from Buckingham has been jailed for two-and-a-half years for supplying cocaine and cannabis.

Steven Gaines, 34, of Nelson Street, had pleaded not guilty but a jury at Aylesbury Crown Court convicted him of the offences, which took place between July 1 and August 30 last year.

Sgt Emily Dover said: “This was as a result of a proactive zero tolerance drugs policing operation by the Buckingham district Neighbourhood Team.

“It is a significant conviction and the police welcome the sentences passed by the court and I hope this serves as a reminder to anyone connected with the supply of drugs in the town that you will be caught, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced for such crime.”
