Maintenance work on Buckingham’s Old Town Hall is continuing apace.
Scaffolding has been put up and Castle Street has been closed to traffic while work on the guttering, windows and masonry is being carried out.
Jean Rush, from Villiers Hotel which owns the building said due to health and safety laws, scaffolding had to be used.
She said: “The council also insisted that we close Castle Street because the town hall building is built on a slope and there is an overhang on the roof.”
She added while the road was closed, they would take the opportunity to repaint the town hall at the same time.
It is not known how long it will take to complete the work.
