It’s the stuff of nightmares for parents but students soon to be arriving at The University of Buckingham can tell mum and dad that they study on the safest campus in the country.
The independent university, which celebrates its 40th birthday next year, has come top of the Complete University Guide’s rankings for the third time.
And when combined with topping the tables for student satisfaction and graduate employability recently, the university is on a roll.
New vice-chancellor of the university, Sir Anthony Seldon, thinks the latest figures suggest Buckingham really is one of the best places to study in the UK.
He said: “Year after year Buckingham comes top of the rankings as the safest place to study.
“One of the key considerations for parents is whether their child will be safe when they leave home and they certainly will be at Buckingham.
“With all the current concern about safety we are all the more delighted to hear the praise for the safety of our campus.
“As well as offering a beautiful campus, which is the safest in the country, Buckingham also tops the league tables for student satisfaction and graduate employability.
“Our students are the safest and the happiest and they get jobs at the end of their studies.
“Buckingham really is one of the best places in the country to study.”
