A CONSTRUCTION firm based just outside Bicester has scooped two prestigious awards from the Federation of Master Builders (FMB).

Sporn Construction Ltd based in Stratton Audley won the commercial projects, and large restoration project categories during the southern region Master Builder of the Year Awards 2010

Hayley Fry, FMB regional director said: “Sporn exemplify the high standards that FMB strive to achieve. They are passionate about delivering quality: this is demonstrated by their portfolio of beautifully restored buildings, and delighted clients. It is also demonstrated by their commitment to training their team to the highest standards, so that they can deliver modern innovative solutions to 21st century challenges like energy efficiency, alongside the best of traditional building skills. In this way they are helping to ensure that future generations will still have the skills to care for our precious stock of heritage buildings.”

Director Robin Sporn thanked every member of staff for their hard work on every project and clients for their nomination. He added: “The FMB Awards have the unquestionable status of the most coveted awards in the construction industry. I am extremely proud of this achievement. To be regional award winners in two categories is absolutely amazing. I know my appreciation is shared throughout every member of our team. It is wonderful to receive recognition for the quality craftsmanship achieved at Sporn and indeed how we focus not just on the finished  project, rather the journey to that point.”
