BRACKLEY businesses are continuing to boost interest in their high street as they prepare to distribute 10,000 shoppers’ guides.

After a private launch last night 6,000 guides will be sent out to Brackley homes and surrounding villages, with a further 4,000 to be delivered to outlying villages to encourage greater spending in the town.

The guide includes 30 Brackley shops and places to eat and each entry has been illustrated by Somerset artist David Jessup. The new guide will also be available alongside a display of the original illustrations today, Friday, November 4 at Space, 3 Market Place between 9am and 8pm. The group of businesses has been working hard to increase footfall in the town and the guide follows mail drops earlier in the year and is backed up by the website, Twitter and Facebook.

Angela Blencowe is one of the 300 people who have joined the FB group and commented: “These initiatives are really good.

“I definitely use local shops more than I used to and that’s because I know more about what’s available in the town.”
