Buckingham’s Abbot Fire Group has welcomed Specialist Fire Products to the company following a merger with the Banbury-based firm.

Staff from Specialist Fire Products have moved into Abbot Fire Group’s premises in Radclive Road in Gawcott.

Specialist Fire Group adds experience in emergency lighting and providing call points in nursing homes to Abbot Fire Group’s expertise in kitchen suppression systems, dry risers and pneumatically-actuated fire suppression systems.

Abbot Fire Group also offers fire extinguisher and fire alarm supply, installation and servicing, as well as fire safety training.

Abbot Fire Group director Nigel Walton said: “I’m delighted to welcome the team from Specialist Fire into our purpose built premises. “It’s an exciting time for both businesses as we continue to serve existing customers, and look to serve new ones with the additions to the portfolio of services on offer.”

Abbot Fire Group has been trading since March 2002, specialising in fire-fighting equipment, including the supply, installation and servicing of all fire safety products.

In addition, the group provides various fire protection services, including fire risk assessment, fire safety training and advice on fire legislation.

The firm also offers a 24-hour maintenance call-out service, and is the only UK company approved by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) to install and service kitchen suppression systems.

Abbot Fire Group won Business of the Year 2011 at the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. Visit www.abbotfiregroup.co.uk for details.
