A Bicester junior football team has been sporting a new kit on the pitch thanks to new sponsor David Wilson Homes.
The deal was agreed after one of the Bicester Town Colts under-nines players and his family moved to the company’s De Lacy Fields development at Kingsmere.
Assistant team manager Vic Armand said: “As a local team we are very grateful to David Wilson Homes for sponsoring us.”
He added: “The lads have been playing really well with some players really excelling this season and they are really looking forward to starting off their new season in their new David Wilson Homes kit.”
Steve Barton, senior sales manager for David Wilson Homes Mercia, said the firm is excited to sponsor the under-nines team and looks forward to hearing how it progresses next season.
He added: “It is so important to give youngsters encouragement to get outside and play sports as they learn to keep fit and healthy from a young age. We also find it very important to give back and invest in local communities.”
The new development is close to the team’s Bicester Sports Association training ground in Chesterton.
