THE University of Buckingham Press Ltd (UBPL) is the publishing arm of the University of Buckingham.
UBPL is in the unique position of being the publisher of the only independent university in the UK and publishes authoritative, independent research and academic, as well as general interest works in books and journals.
With a variety of new books in the pipeline, UB Press is a growing force within the academic publishing world.
Tragedy of Riches by Stephen Barber and Thought Prison by Bruce Charlton are the latest offerings. Arguments for Liberty by Jan Lester will be published in November.
Tragedy of Riches offers a devastating analysis of our political system, and argues the captains of the baby boom generation milked its economic prosperity while failing to deliver a sustainable ideology whilst Thought Prison suggests that political correctness is now the all-pervasive status quo of our own making, dominating politics, economics, public administration, law, education, the military, health services – our very selves.
The UB Press Website ubpl.buckingham.ac.uk/ has recently been transformed.
The new site has a brand identity which mirrors the university’s own website and it is hoped that visitors will find it more user friendly and visually appealing.
Christopher Woodhead, MD of UB Press said: “I am delighted with the update to the website.
“The new look reinforces the close connection with the university and the quality of the interesting new range of books and journals published this autumn also reflects the current excitement there is about the University of Buckingham.”
