Police are reminding people to be vigilant, following a spate of village burglaries in the Buckingham area.

Burglaries took place in Water Stratford on Thursday, January 9, in Maids Moreton on Saturday, January 11, and in Akeley sometime between Friday and Sunday, January 10 and 12.

Police say two of the burglaries appear to have been targeting high-performance vehicles, and the intention seems to have been to enter the house to steal the keys for the cars.

PCSOs from the area have been to the local villages to give crime prevention advice and the burglaries are being investigated by Aylesbury CID.

Police are asking people to report any suspicious activity immediately to the police via the 101 number

Where possible, take note of the details of any suspicious vehicles, especially the description and registration number.
