Walkers on the Grand Union Canal Walk
Walkers on the Grand Union Canal Walk

Join Brain Tumour Research for a walk along the Grand Union Canal on Saturday, and help raise money to fund the charity’s vital research.

Founded by Padbury woman Sue Farrington Smith, the charity’s mission is to build a network of experts in sustainable brain tumour research, with a view to finding a cure for brain tumours.

Starting at the Three Locks pub at Stoke Hammond at 10am, participants will walk the five-and-a-half miles to the Grove Lock pub, near Leighton Buzzard, before heading back along the towpath to return to the Three Locks, where they will receive a medal for completing the day

It is designed to be a slow-paced family event where people can meet other friends and supporters of Brain Tumour Research.

Registration begins at 9.15am and the day will finish at about 5pm, depending on walking speed.

Registration is £10 per person or £20 for a family, and participants are asked to raise £100 in sponsorship.
