Maids Moreton Hall resident Jytte Wylie had her wish come true when she was taken on a trip to Woburn Safari Park.
In January, the Maids Moreton care home installed a Wish Tree, where residents could make their special wishes. The custom of the magical trees date back hundreds of years. By hanging your wish on the tree, it was believed that it would come true.
And over the past few months, care home staff have been making some of their residents’ wishes come true.
On June 22, Jytte and five other residents boarded a minibus bound for Woburn, accompanied by two staff.
Events manager Lauren Scott said: “We even went in the monkey enclosure at the risk of the cheeky chaps climbing on the mini bus. Luckily, they did not and were basking in the sunshine instead.
“It was such a great day and great wish that we are planning more trips to the Safari Park so as many of our residents as possible get to benefit from Jytte’s wish.”
