A popular beer festival is thanking the estate agent which saved the day last year by welcoming it back as the main sponsor.
Towcester Beer Festival will once again be sponsored by Jackie Oliver & Co and its business manager Andy Tyrer is looking forward to teaming up with the festival again.
He said: “We are delighted to support what has become a tremendous event for the town.”
Organiser Crispin Slee said: “Our main sponsor pulled out last year. Jackie Oliver stepped in to save the day and we are delighted to welcome them back again this year.”
Towcester Beer Festival raises funds for Towcestrians – the main sporting hub in the town offering rugby, cricket, hockey, tennis and soft ball.
The festival, which began in 2009, features live music, a Ghurka curry tent, a hog roast, 60 ales and 30 ciders.
But for the first time this year, there will be a roast lunch menu on the Sunday cooked by former Great British Bake Off contestant Davey Chambers.
It takes place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend from Friday May 1 to Sunday May 3 at Towcestrians RFC in Greens Norton Road, Towcester.
Entry is free, except after 5pm on Saturday when it is £5 to get in.
Local businesses can promote themselves and support the festival by sponsoring a barrel at £100 excluding VAT.
