Visitors to Buckingham’s Dementia Cafe enjoyed a Christmas celebration this month.
Treats included mince pies and a Christmas chocolate quiz with chocolate prizes.
Run by theAlzheimer’s Society, the Dementia Cafe is held at Buckingham Community Centre on the first Tuesday of the month, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
It is an opportunity for anyone with a diagnosis of dementia, and their carers, family and friends, to get together with others over tea, coffee and cakes and to find out information in a relaxed setting.
The group facilitator and a dementia support worker are there to help with information and advice and lead activities, including puzzles, games and crosswords.
There will be no Dementia Cafe in January.
The next Dementia Cafe is on Tuesday, February 5.
