BRACKLEY football teams are to receive a £500 windfall as a supermarket celebrates its relaunch this month.
Over the last few months the Tesco Superstore in Oxford Road has undergone a revamp including; a new meat counter, customer service desk, an express coffee machine, an improved car park layout; and the petrol station has been refurbished.
At 10am on Monday, January 9, store is inviting the community to watch representatives from Halse United and Brackley Athletic cut a ribbon and accept the donations.
Along with construction firm McLaughlin and Harvey Ltd they also built bird tables for Brackley CofE Junior School, Waynflete Infants’ School and Southfields Junior School. Brackley Juniors also received a chicken coop.
A spokesman for Tesco said they were delighted to support the community and that the revamp came after listening to feedback from customers.
