Two lovely cottage gardens in Lillingstone Lovell are open for charity for the National Gardens Scheme from 1pm to 6pm on Sunday.

Dave and Mary Hilliard at Glebe Farm and Jane Scott and Ian Baird at 9 Brookside are opening their gardens. Artist blacksmith Nick Packham will be demonstrating in Jane’s garden and there will be a display of paintings.

Another exhibition of paintings by two Lillingstone Lovell artists, Jen Davies and Nicola Smith, will be available to view in the church.

Home-made teas will be served in both gardens.

The National Gardens Scheme has raised more than £26 million for nursing and caring charities in the last 10 years and now nearly 4,000 gardens take part.
