Adil Basharat murderer jailed for life

THE man who fatally stabbed Adil Basharat has been jailed for life, after being unanimously convicted of murder.

Adam Moore, 20, of Bridge Road, Cosgrove, will spend a minimum of 16-years behind bars for the murder of the 16-year-old outside Kingsbrook School in Deanshanger in November.

Co accused Freddy Wilson, 20, of Glebe Road, Deanshanger, Daniel Anderson, 20, of Horsefair Green, Stony Stratford, and Jake Batten, 22, of Mallings Road, Deanshanger, were sentenced for three years for violent disorder but were acquitted of the murder and manslaughter charges.

Billy Billingham, 19, of Kingsfold Bradville, Milton Keynes, whose robbery sparked the revenge attack was acquitted of the single count he faced of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

Adil Basharat died two days after he was stabbed with a broken golf club shaft.

The golf club broke and the sharp end of it was thrust into Adil’s pelvis, severing the main vein.
