THE man who fatally stabbed Adil Basharat has been unanimously convicted of murder.

Adam Moore, 20, of Bridge Road, Cosgrove, who will be sentenced at 2pm today, is now facing a life sentence for the murder of the 16-year-old outside Kingsbrook School in Deanshanger in November.

Co-accused Freddy Wilson, 20, of Glebe Road, Deanshanger, Daniel Anderson, 20, of Horsefair Green, Stony Stratford, and Jake Batten, 22, of Mallings Road, Deanshanger, were acquitted of the murder and manslaughter but convicted of violent disorder.

Billy Billingham, 19, whose robbery sparked the revenge attack was acquitted of the single count he faced of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

Adil Basharat died two days after he was stabbed with a broken golf club shaft.

The golf club broke and the sharp end of it was thrust into Adil’s pelvis, severing the main vein.
