Man arrested after 67-year-old woman was allegedly robbed at knife point in Brackley

A man from Brackley has been arrested after a woman was allegedly robbed at knife point.

The 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail following the alleged incident which took place at around 11.30am on Sunday July 3 in Church Street, Brackley.

The 67-year-old woman was left with superficial cuts to her hand and her handbag was reportedly stolen.

Royston Woodford, aged 35, of Waynflete Avenue, Brackley, was charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.

He has been remanded to appear at Northampton Magistrates tomorrow (Friday July 8).
